More Than a Gym.
A Path Forward.

At Down But Not Out, we use boxing as a foundation for personal growth. Our programs help youth build strength—physically, mentally, and emotionally—through structure, discipline, and mentorship.

Serving youth ages 10 to 18, DBNO offers a safe, supportive space where participants are grouped by age and skill level. No matter their starting point, every young person is met with high expectations, encouragement, and a team in their corner.

A Place to Start. A Way to Grow.

Youth enter DBNO at the level that’s right for them and move forward by showing mastery of boxing-related skills, habits, and mindset—inside and outside the ring. Our three-tier system keeps youth challenged and supported as they grow.

 Progression Levels

*Advancement is earned—not given—and reflects skill and character.

  • Foundations

A starting point for youth new to boxing. Focuses on basic technique, consistent attendance, and personal accountability.

  • Momentum

For participants with a solid grasp of the fundamentals who are ready for more intensity and strategic thinking.

  • Edge

For advanced youth who have shown leadership, resilience, and mastery. This level pushes performance and personal growth.

One Class at a Time. Real Growth Over Time.

Class Availability

DBNO classes run Tuesday through Friday (late afternoon/evening) and Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Each day includes four sessions, grouped by age:

Younger Youth: Ages 10–13

Older Youth: Ages 14–18

Class Structure

Each session lasts 75 minutes, including:

60 minutes of training: Focused instruction in technique, conditioning, and ring awareness

15 minutes of “The Huddle”: A snack break and guided conversation where youth and trainers reflect on life inside and outside the ring

The Huddle is where mentorship deepens. Trainers connect lessons from the gym to real-life challenges—building trust, reinforcing values, and helping youth see who they’re becoming.

What Happens Here Stays With You.

DBNO is more than a training space—it’s a place where lives shift. The relationships built between trainers and youth are central to the work. Whether it’s during a mitt session or a moment in The Huddle, these connections fuel lasting growth.
